CUBS’ CAMP 2026 | St. Mary’s Villa, Khandala | 2–3 October 2026

The Cubs' Camp at St. Mary's Villa, Khandala, began on Friday, 2nd October, 2026, with great excitement and enthusiasm. The group of 54 cubs and 4 scouters - Ms Kalpana D'Costa , Ms Jennifer Kalpund , Ms Joshana Lokande & Sir Brice D'Souza left the school premises at 7:30 a.m. During the journey, the children enjoyed various worksheets, quizzes, and word games.
After reaching the villa, the Cubs had breakfast and settled into their dormitories. The highlights of the day included an engaging ice-breaking session and the Investiture Ceremony, during which around 32 new Cubs were invested. It was indeed a proud and memorable occasion for all.
After lunch and a short rest, the children visited a beautiful plant nursery. They learned about different types of plants and their care, and each child received an indoor plant as a token of the visit. In the evening, the Cubs enjoyed recreational activities and rehearsed for the much-awaited Red Flower Ceremony. After dinner and the evening programme, they retired for the night at 10:30 p.m.
On Saturday morning, the Cubs enjoyed a peaceful walk near a pond, observing the fish swimming in the water. This was followed by the six basic B.P. exercises and breakfast. Thereafter, the children learned the importance of cleanliness and self-reliance as they made their beds, folded their clothes, and packed their belongings neatly.
The most inspiring part of the camp was the visit to the National Association for the Blind (NAB). The children were amazed to see visually impaired individuals skillfully making bags, soaps, bedsheets, towels, and other useful products. The visit imparted valuable lessons of determination, hard work, dignity, and compassion.
After returning to the villa for lunch, the group departed at 2:30 p.m. and reached school safely by 4:30 p.m.
The two-day camp was a wonderful blend of adventure, learning, discipline, teamwork, and social awareness. It left the Cubs with beautiful memories and valuable life lessons, helping them grow in confidence, independence, and responsibility.
"Do Your Best" – the Cub Scout motto truly reflected the spirit of our young Cubs throughout the camp.
