As part of the syllabus on the States of India, the Preparatory pupils participated in an engaging and interactive learning experience focusing on three states: Punjab, Maharashtra and Gujarat. The sessions were held on 21st, 22nd and 26th October 2026, respectively.

A few parents from each class, along with their children, enthusiastically presented the different states. Dressed in traditional attire, they brought the culture and uniqueness of each state to life.

Through PowerPoint presentations, the pupils were introduced to the map and location of each state, its traditional food, culture, festivals, festive attire, songs, dances and important tourist attractions. The presentations helped them appreciate the rich diversity and traditions of these states.

Adding to the excitement, the pupils participated in traditional dance moves, making the sessions lively and enjoyable. The interactive discussions encouraged them to observe, share their thoughts and learn more about the customs and traditions of each state.

To conclude each session, the pupils were given a small snack associated with the respective state, allowing them to experience a taste of its culinary traditions.

The activity was a wonderful blend of learning, cultural appreciation and parental involvement. It brought the lesson to life, making learning enjoyable and enriching while fostering an appreciation of India’s rich cultural diversity.
